One system, every distributor profile
Designing a customizable profile builder for Herbalife distributors. A component system that lets each distributor personalize their space while keeping the brand consistent.
2023
TL;DR
This project was about making shopping simpler and more trustworthy through clear navigation, a secure checkout, and integrated support.
At the same time, we gave Herbalife distributors the tools to personalize the experience for their clients while keeping the brand consistent.

Problem
Two audiences, one brand
What made it complex was designing for both at once: distributors trying to connect with their clients, and customers trying to trust a brand.
The challenge
Let every distributor personalize their space, without breaking the brand.
Process
Four phases, one direction
The project was organized into cross-functional pods with the flexibility to shift focus each sprint. Each phase reinforced alignment between business requirements, user needs, and scalable interface standards.

01
Discovery & Research
The design process was deeply collaborative, starting from understanding real user pain points and working through prioritization, testing, and delivery.
-
02
Prioritization
The team uncovered over 120 Jobs to Be Done across the personas. Prioritization sessions translated research insights into structured feature sets, defining what would be standardized versus customizable within the platform.
-
03
Custom Design System
To ensure consistency and scalability, we structured a dedicated design system library in Figma. Components were built using Auto Layout and variant logic, enabling flexible, reusable patterns across breakpoints. The system balanced global brand standards with controlled customization options for distributors.

High Fidelity & Handoff
We delivered comprehensive handoff documentation including UX annotations, UI guidelines, motion specifications, and component behavior definitions to ensure engineering alignment and implementation accuracy.

The same store, on every screen
Why it mattered
One challenge was ensuring privacy controls while maintaining an easy-to-use interface. Our team developed an accessible settings menu that lets users control visibility without overwhelming them.
Designing an ad-free experience meant creating engaging content flows without traditional ads. We achieved this by focusing on rich, visual content and user-driven discovery options.
